Qadri due today
LAHORE
Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri will reach Lahore from Canada early Tuesday morning on a short visit to Pakistan. He will arrive at Lahore airport via Istanbul at 5 am and proceed to his home in Model Town by a motorcade of party leaders and workers. He is scheduled to address a press conference at PAT secretariat at 8 am.
According to a party spokesman, the main purpose of Dr Qadri’s visit is to address the world Milad conference at Minar-a-Pakistan on Wednesday night. Besides, he will also meet with the families of 14 PAT workers killed in police shootout on PAT Secretariat in June 2014. The spokesman said Dr Qadri had directed workers to stop other activities and prepare for holding of World Milad Conference.
The spokesman said only Lahore workers were allowed to undertake arrangements and workers from other districts were barred from coming because of cold weather and fog.
He will be received at the airport by his sons, Dr Hasan Mohiuddin Qadri and Dr Hussain Mohiuddin Qadri, besides other leaders including Khurram Nawaz GAndapur, Ahmad Nawaz Anjum, GM Malik, Brig retd Iqbal, Basharat Jaspal and others.
