Rupee appreciates

The rupee gained 13 paisas against the dollar in the interbank market on smooth dollar supplies on Friday.
The rupee closed at 104.70 to the dollar as compared to the previous closing of 104.83.
Traders said the forex market witnessed dreary trading session with the rupee / dollar parity moved at 104.75-80 level. The local currency was quoted at 106 and 106.30 in the open market.
