Postponed Beach Games rescheduled for March 20
KARACHI: The Sindh Olympic Association (SOA) on Monday unveiled new dates for the first edition of the National Beach Games which will now be held here at Sea View from March 20-23.
The event was earlier pencilled in for December 11-13. “The event could not be held in December due to the local body elections and some other problems, the SOA said in a press release.” “It is now decided with consultation of the Sindh government that the competitions will be staged from March 20-22,” it added.
The players from four provinces, including Army, Pakistan Air Force (PAF), Navy, Police and WAPDA will feature in the slots.
The SOA said that the Pakistan Olympic Association’s (POA) chief Lt Gen (retd) Arif Hasan had decided that it would be a regular feature and would be staged every year.
