Cadet College Petaro celebrates 54th Parents’ Day
JAMSHORO: Cadet College Petaro celebrated its 54th Parents’ Day on 13th December 2015.
Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah NI (M) was the Chief Guest on this occasion. Addressing the audience, he appreciated the improvements in academics, discipline and infrastructure at Cadet College Petaro.
He also gave away prizes to the award winners. Ayub House was declared as the Champion House, while Latif House Runners-up. The Stick of Honour was awarded to Ex-cadet Zain Iqbal of Liaquat House; award of Best Appointment Holder was given to Ex-CC Abrar Saeed of Ayub House and Best Sportsman award was given to Ex-cadet Ahsan of Shahbaz House; Badge of Honour was won by Cadet Arham of Sachal House. The Best Employee Award (Grade 1 to 4) was given to Mr. Subhan Wireman (Electricity Department). The Best Employee Award (Grade 5 to 16) was given to Malik Muhammad Mumtaz Dafedar, Riding Club. The Best Military Training staff award was given to Petty Officer Mr. Tahir Masood. The Best Teacher Award was given to Asst. Prof. Pervez Ahmed of Urdu Department. The Best House Master was awarded to Mr. Asif Maqbool, House Master Liaquat House. The Best Officer award was given to Asst. Prof. Ahsan Ali Shah, Head of Cambridge System.
Before Commandant & Principal Commodore Mehboob Elahi Malik SI(M) welcomed the Guests and presented the Annual Report of the College. During his address, he highlighted the performance of cadets in the Academics, Sports and Co-Curricular activities. He also highlighted some of the development works completed and undergoing works at Cadet College Petaro and specially the positive change brought in academic activities to improve standard of education at Cadet College Petaro.
During Parents’ Day cadets put up an impressive March past show, PT show, Gymnastic show, Karate show and Horse Riding show. A display of club activities was also made, where cadets rigged stalls of their talents. At the end of show, the Chief Guest visited the exhibition of various clubs activities prepared and presented by the cadets.
