POA executive committee to meet on December 19

KARACHI: Pakistan Olympic Association’s (POA) executive committee would meet in Lahore on December 19 to discuss various issues, it was learnt on Thursday.
Pakistan’s participation in the South Asian Games, the situation of the Olympic movement in Pakistan, approval of arbitration committee and the POA’s 2016 elections are the hot topics which will be discussed.
A source in the POA said that it was also expected that an emergency meeting of the POA’s general council would be held on the same day.
The POA’s elections are due before February 3, 2016. It is expected that it would be held before the South Asian Games which would be conducted in the Indian cities of Guwahati and Shillong from February 6-16.
