Qadir’s sons thank govt
LAHORE: Usman and Suleiman Qadir, sons of late Abdul Qadir, have thanked the government of Pakistan for bestowing the Sitara-e-Imtiaz on their father.
Usman and Suleiman released video messages on receiving the Sitara-e-Imtiaz award.
Usman said that he thanked the government of Pakistan and the President of Pakistan for giving Sitara-e-Imtiaz in recognition of his father’s services. “It is a great honour for the family,” he said.
Salman said: “Today is a very happy day for me and my family. I am very grateful to the government of Pakistan which appreciated the services of my father.”
The government posthumously awarded Sitara-e-Imtiaz to the late Abdul Qadir and his wife received Sitara-e-Imtiaz at Governor House Punjab. ‘Sitara-e-Imtiaz’ is Pakistan’s third-highest civilian award. Qadir passed away due to a heart attack in Lahore in September 2019.
