ISLAMABAD: The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has organised an investment education seminar for the students of COMSATS Institute of Information Technology.
The seminar was conducted under the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between COMSATS and SECP said a statement on Friday.
The seminar focused on Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan s role for increasing awareness about financial markets operations and fraud prevention.
Another key feature of the program focused on educating the students about the Jamapunji portal Pakistan s first gateway to investor education and investment products to enhance students understanding of the process of investing and trading in the stock market.
A mock trading competition was also held for university students through the Jampunji platform to help students learn about building and analyzing investment portfolios.
In addition Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan was also actively pursuing a public message media campaign under the brand name Jamapunji aimed at increasing awareness about the investment environment processes and products available to existing and potential investors.
