3 killed in Bahawalnagar incidents

BAHAWALPUR: Three people were murdered in as many incidents in Bahawalnagar district on Tuesday.
Muhammad Tufail was shot dead by some unknown killers when he was watering his field at Mauza Luqman Miroka. The dead body of Fayyaz Ahmad was recovered from a field near his motorbike at Basti Aakoka Otarr. Accused Abdul Sattar allegedly beaten to death Liaqat Ali over a minor issue at Chak 97 Fateh.
PML-N MPA PROTEST: PML-N Bahawalpur district president and MPA from Yazman Khalid Mehmood Jajja has protested against awarding to the party ticket to a undeserving candidate from UC 9, Ward No 2.
The MPA protested against the decision and lodged his complaint with the party ticket awarding committee. It is pertinent to mention here that several PML-N leaders have shown concern over giving party tickets to some undeserving people for the Local Government elections.
FOUR INJURED: Four people were injured over a minor issue at Chak Lalika in the limits of Minchanabad police on Tuesday.
A scuffle started between two groups over a minor issue and both groups beat each other. As a result, Imtiaz, Nazar, Irshad Bibi and Shahida Bibi were injured and rushed to a hospital.
FOUR HELD FOR DECANTING: A police and Civil Defence team led by Regional Transport Authority Secretary Tanveer Jhandeer raided and arrested four people on the charge of decanting.
The team raided seven LPG filling centres and arrested four people while seven gas filling centres were also sealed.
