Class 5, 8 exams registration continues

The online registration process for class 5 & 8 Annual Examinations 2015 will continue up to Nov 16 and so far 2.04 million applications have been processed.
This was stated by Punjab IT Board (PITB) Chairman Dr Umar Saif while addressing a meeting on Tuesday.
Dr Umar Saif said 2.04 million applications had been processed including 51,000 applications from private schools/students against a last year’s target of 2.3 million for the Punjab Examinations Commission (PEC) exams.
He said the registration process had been facilitated by the Schools Education Department by forming clusters at main schools in the area across Punjab.
The schools’ representatives collect forms from their students and submit to the nearby registration cluster where it is entered into the main dash board controlled by the Punjab IT Board.
Dr Saif said private schools or individual student seeking registration might also contact that cluster along with filled in registration form and National Identity Card of the father, mother or guardian.
“The online registration saves time, minimises huge work load and mistakes in the data and eases the hectic process of examination conducting”, he added.
