PML-N councillors demand arrest of PTI leaders

BUREWALA: The PML-N newly-elected councillors have demanded the police high ups arrest the PTI leaders who were allegedly involved in the firing incident in which four PML-N supporters were injured.
Addressing a press conference here on Monday, the PML-N councillors led by PML-N MPA Chaudhry Irshad Ahmad Arain said that PTI Burewala leader Sajid Sharif along with his relatives and gunmen allegedly opened indiscriminate fire at the relatives and supporters of PML-N newly-elected councillor from Ward No 29 Faiz Muhammad Dogar, which caused bullet injuries to four people including son of Faiz Dogar. The PML-N leaders alleged that local police were reluctant to take action against the accused persons who had reportedly fled to foreign countries. The newly-elected councillors who attended the press conference included Muhammad Ashiq Arain, Rao Azizur Rehman, Mian Abdul Mateen, Abdul Jabbar Butt, Ayaz Mehmood Ghumman, Abdul Ghaffar Butt, Imran Ghafoor, Malik Imtiaz Ahmad, Zahoor Ahmad Dogar, Mehar Tahir Amjad, Falk Sher Dogar, Sharif Cheema, Rana Irshad Ahmad, Abdul Rauf, Sanaullah Rehmani, Jameel Shahid, Rao Ghaffar Ali, Rana Shahid Ali, Faiz Ahmad Dogar, Abdul Khaliq and Mian Khalid Hussain.
WORLD TRACKERS DAY: A local NGO organised a ceremony on the World Trackers Day here on Monday.
Addressing the ceremony, renowned mountaineer Col (retd) Abdul Jabbar Bhatti said that the world+IBk-s beautiful places were blessings of nature in Pakistan and a proper training was required to visit these places. He said that mountaineering and trekking were integral parts for each other and there must be all aspects in the mind of tracker as bad weather conditions, risks and difficulties should be dealt wisely. Dr Shahid Iqbal, Sheikh Suleman, Tariq Hameed, Asif Khan, Zia Abbas, Sheikh Baqqa, Sheikh M Khan, Mian Muhammad Sohaib Alam and M Zahid Hanif also attended the ceremony.
