NOWSHERA: Chief Minister Pervez Khattak Sundaysaid that his government would introduce major changes in the Ministry of Industries, which would bring an industrial revolution in the province within six months.
He was speaking at a function where Awami National Party (ANP), Pirpiai chapter, president Shamshad Khan along with hundreds of supporters and family members announced joining the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI).
Pervez Khattak said the provincial government would bear half of the transportation cost for brining machinery to the province for establishment of industries. “Five industrial zones are being organised in the first phase and one window operation is being established to facilitate industrialists and investors,” he added.
He said that the government would announce industrial policy within few days, adding that the government would announce subsidy on electricity and gas. The chief minister said that PTI-led provincial government was fulfilling its election promises, adding that his party leaders did not believe in politics of revenge.
He claimed that his government had started strengthening of institutions. No one would be allowed to use public offices for personal gains, he said, adding that actions were being taken against anyone who plunders national wealth.
Pervez Khattak asked the people to keep a check on the development projects and report any anomaly to the concerned departments for taking actions. “Quality of development schemes would not be compromised and the masses should help the government in keeping a check on the ongoing development projects,” he added.
He vowed that his party would continue to change the system for which the change in mindset was important, adding that PTI-led government would not bow to the pressure tactics of the corrupt politicians. “Our war against corruption will continue at all costs,” he said, adding, the PTI would honour its commitment made with the people.
Pervez Khattak said revolutionary changes would be brought in the affairs of schools and hospitals in the province. “We will not tolerate injustices with the people,” he added.
