LAHORE: Justice Ijazul Ahsan took oath as the 44th chief justice of the Lahore High Court in a ceremony held at the Governor’s House here on Friday.
Governor Rafique Rajwana administered the oath to the new chief justice. Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Punjab Assembly speaker, judges of the LHC, provincial ministers, vice chairman of Pakistan Bar Council, presidents, office-bearers of LHCBA, LBA and law officers also graced the occasion. After taking oath, Lahore High Court Chief Justice Ijazul Ahsan reached the LHC where guard of honour was presented to him as per tradition.
