Parliamentarians call on CM

LAHORE
Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that the Pakistan Muslim League-N government led by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is moving in the right direction for resolving longstanding problems of the country and every effort is being made for execution of power projects at the earliest.
He said that work had been started on 3,600 megawatt gas based energy projects and these projects were being set up at half the rate of the similar projects set up in the past. He said that a huge sum of Rs112 billion had been saved in these gas based projects. He said that completion of power projects in 2017 would result in generation of thousands of electricity. He said it was unfortunate that some elements were still creating hurdles in the way of development projects but they would not succeed.
The chief minister expressed these views while talking to members of parliament belonging to Pakistan Muslim League-N during a meeting, here Wednesday. They included Provincial Minister for Cooperatives Malik Iqbal Channer, Senator Saud Majeed, MPA Khalid Mahmood Jujja, Kazim Ali Pirzada and Mian Shoaib Awaisi.
