111 prisoners released from jails
FAISALBAD: District and Sessions Judge (DSJ) Abid Husain Qureshi visited two jails in the district on Monday and ordered the release of 111 prisoners including eight juveniles involved in petty offences. The judges visited Central and Borstal jails Faisalabad and ordered the release of 103 prisoners from the central jail

FAISALBAD: District and Sessions Judge (DSJ) Abid Husain Qureshi visited two jails in the district on Monday and ordered the release of 111 prisoners including eight juveniles involved in petty offences. The judges visited Central and Borstal jails Faisalabad and ordered the release of 103 prisoners from the central jail and eight juvenile prisoners from Borstal Jail on personal surety bonds. Senior Civil Judge Qamar Yasin and Judicial Magistrate Shakaib Awan also accompanied him. The DSJ also visited different sections in the jails including barracks, kitchen and hospital and inspected cleanliness arrangements and facilities being provided to the prisoners. The judge directed the administration of both jails to keep in view the welfare of the prisoners and programmes of imparting training and education to them should be continued. He also directed for foolproof security arrangements in the jails.
