Pakistan Muslim League-Q president Ch Shujaat Hussain has said the office of the National Assembly Speaker is of great importance, if he is elected unanimously, he should not be seen as representative of any party, in this regard all parliamentary parties would be taken into confidence. The speaker so elected can work with confidence, he emphasised.
Talking to the party leaders at his residence on Thursday, Ch Shujaat Hussain said that this office be above party politics so that all assembly members have confidence in him. He said for running the house successfully the speaker should have patience and tolerance and give all members appropriate time so that they could talk about their constituencies and national issues openly.
