Youth tortured to death
LAHORE A 23-year-old youth was tortured to death by some unidentified persons in the Garden Town area on Sunday. The victim identified as Zohaib, son of Asghar Ali, was found dead near Campus Underpass. The victim Zohaib, a van driver by profession, left his house and did not turn up.

A 23-year-old youth was tortured to death by some unidentified persons in the Garden Town area on Sunday.
The victim identified as Zohaib, son of Asghar Ali, was found dead near Campus Underpass. The victim Zohaib, a van driver by profession, left his house and did not turn up. On Sunday, the family was contacted and informed about his murder. The victim’s body bore marks of multiple torture, police said, adding that the victim’s eyes were also gouged out. Police shifted the body to morgue.
FOUND DEAD: Three men were found dead in various parts of the city on Sunday.A 30-year-old man was found dead in the limits of Factory Area police station. Some passersby spotted the body of a man lying near Chungi Amar Sadhu and informed the police. The deceased, yet to be identified, was an addict who might have died of excessive use of drugs. In another incident, a 60-year-old man was recovered dead from the Mozang area. The deceased, yet to be identified, was an addict who might have died of natural causes. Similarly, a 50-year-old man was found dead in Data Darbar police station area. Some passersby spotted the body of a man lying near a hotel and informed the police. The deceased man’s identity was yet to be made. Police shifted the bodies to morgue.
