MINGORA: Three more patients of coronavirus lost battle for life in Swat district on Thursday.
With the new cases of casualties, the number of fatalities from the fast-spreading viral infection reached 40 in the district. Also, 43 more tested positive for the Covid-19, taking the tally of confirmed coronavirus patients to 825 in Swat. The new cases reported from Fatehpur, Ghaligay, Qambar, Malookabad, Gulibagh, Hazara, Shamozai, Matta, Kharerai, Charbagh, Gwalerai, Shahdara, Bishigram, Madyan, Amankot, Barikot, Rang Mohallah, Saidu Sharif, Nawan Killay, Odigram, Sheen, Kanju and others.
Officials of the district administration and health department have expressed concerned over the rising number of coronavirus patients in Swat and appealed to the people to observe standard operating procedures (SOPs) to stem the outbreak of fast-travelling in the district.
