20 outlaws held

Islamabad : Islamabad Police on Tuesday arrested 20 outlaws including 11 gamblers from various areas of the city and recovered cash, gambling tools, mobile phones, narcotic and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said.

Following the directions of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfqar Khan and DIG (Operations) Waqar Uddin Syed, all officials of Islamabad police have accelerated their efforts to curb activities of anti-social elements and drug pushers.

Following these directions DSP CIA Hakim Khan along with CIA police team apprehended a former jail bird and wanted PO Zeshan alias Shani and recvered two mobile phones from him.

On a tip off, special team under supervision of DSPKhalid Mehmood Awan including

SHO Tarnol Arshad Aliand ASI Muhammad Ishaq raid at a gambling den. This team raided there and nabbed 11 gamblers and recovered stake money, mobile phone a vehicle and gambling tools from their possession. While police team also arrested accused Gul Khan and recovered iron punch from him.

Meanwhile, SP (Industrial-Area) Zubair Ahmed Shaikh constituted special police teams of Sabzi Mandi including SHO Sabzi Mandi Sub-Inspector Imran Haider along with others to curb one wheeling. Police team apprehended three accused Muhammad Bilal, Usma and Bilal khan involved in one wheeling.

Sihala police arrested accused Abdul Haq and recovered one 30 bore pistol along with ammunition from him. The police had also recovered one Kalashnikov, two magazine and ammunition.

Ramana police arrested two drug pushers namely Sajjad Khan and Muhammad Akeel and recovered 336 gram hashish from their possession.
