99 graduates awarded degrees at FAST-NUCES convocation

PESHAWAR: The 41st convocation ceremony of FAST-National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences was held here. A press release said that as many as 99 graduates of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering and Business Administration disciplines were awarded degrees. The convocation was attended by corporate luminaries, leading academicians, intellectuals, parents and the students.
Minister for Education Muhammad Atif, and the Rector of FAST National University Dr Amir Muhammad distributed medals and degrees among graduating students.
In his address, the education minister, who was the chief guest, congratulated the graduates and their parents.
He praised FAST-NUCES for having won a prestigious niche among the leading universities of Pakistan by providing and promoting higher education amid challenges in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He asked the graduates to work hard and said they had an important role to play in resolving various issues such as poverty, illiteracy and dearth of technological advancement, etc.
Out of the 99 graduating students, 55 were awarded degrees in (BS) Electrical Engineering, 29 in (BS) Computer Science and 4 in Business Administration (BBA).
Moreover, five MS Computer Science scholars, five MS Electrical Engineering scholars and one PhD scholar Murtaza of Mathematics also received degrees.
