2 dacoits injured in cross fire

Rawalpindi : In exchange of fire between police and dacoits in the limits of New Town Police station, two dacoits accomplice in incidents of robberies and killing reportedly injured in wee hours of Thursday.

Dacoits including Rahmat and Waleed were in police custody and police was taking them to the hideout of their aides when aides of the detainee dacoits, opened fire at police and in cross firing, the detainee dacoits sustained bullet injuries.

New Town Police had arrested these dacoits who were reportedly accomplice in various robberies and killing of two citizens during robberies in Ghauri Town and Rataamral.

New Town Police had arrested this three members gang involved in robberies few days back.

On Wednesday night, police was taking the detainee dacoits to recover robbed things and to arrest their other aides.

The detainee culprits had killed a university student Danish in 2019 in Ghauri Town during a robbery.

In another robbery, the detainee dacoits had also killed a citizen in front of his home in the limits of Rataamral Police station, said police.

As per Police record, these dacoits were accomplice in more than 50 robberies.

The injured dacoits were shifted to hospital for medical treatment following the cross firing.

Meanwhile, police also arrested a terror gang ringleader Zeeshan alias Shani along with his aide.

Terror gang TSF, and it's ring leader Shani were accomplice in displaying of arms on social media and in illegal occupation of residential and agricultural lands in Rawalpindi.

Meanwhile, Airport Police arrested two kite-sellers and also recovered 1,500 kites and 40 metal kite strings from their possession.
