Man shot dead in New Karachi

Karachi
An elderly man was gunned down in New Karachi, within the remit of Gabol Town police station on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as 60-year-old Muhammad Hanif.
Gabol Town SHO said he had been returning home after Zuhr prayers near Godra Camp when unidentified men riding a motorcycle shot at him and fled.
The passersby and family members heard the gunshots and saw the body and later shifted it to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
The police suspected that the man was killed over a personal enmity. Woman tortured
Meanwhile 50-year-old Sakeena Bibi, wife of Gul Muhammad Hanif, was tortured to death when unidentified people barged into her residence, House No 257 located near Jaffer Bag Ali Chowk, Model Colony.
The attackers also tied up Gul Muhammad and beat him up.
Gul Muhammad’s second wife Paras Begum informed the neighbours of the incident neighbours about the incident who released Gul Muhammad and called the police.
The body and injured were taken to Jinnah hospital.
Robbers kill man in PECHS
Two robbers shot dead a 25-year-old man outside his house in Block 6, PECHS, within the remit of Tipu Sultan police station on Thursday.Police said two armed men on a motorcycle stopped the motorcycle of Babar Khan who had been leaving his resident, House No D-14, situated in block 6 of PECHS, and ordered him to hand over his cash at gun point.
When he put up a resistance, one of the robbers shot at him and fled with the loot. His family came out to discover the young man lying in a pool of blood after they heard the gunshots. They took him to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre in critical condition where he died during treatment.
In another incident, three armed men riding a motorcycle stopped Qadeer outside his residence, House no 7/72, situated in Sector 35/B of Korangi, when he was talking on his mobile phone.
The robbers ordered him to hand over his valuables but when Qadeer put up a resistance, they shot at him.
Passersby heard the gunshots and caught the one of the bandits while the other two managed to flee. The angry mob beat the robber to death while Qadeer was shifted to Jinnah hospital for treatment.
