Rawalpindi : In a crackdown, Sadiqabad Police, arrested a six-member car-lifters 'Billa Gang' involved in more than 50 car robberies in the twin cities.
Among the detainee culprits includes Rizwan alias Billa, gang leader, and his aides named Shabbir, Shafat, Wajid, Asad and Shiraz.
As per Police record, Rizwan alias Billa and Asad are ringleaders of the gang and were challaned by police numbers of time in other robberies and were on most wanted list of twin cities police. On Monday night, Sadiqabad Police on tip of information arrested the gang as detention of this gang was become a challenge for police, said SP (Rawal) Rai Mazhar Iqbal.
During preliminary investigation, the detainees confessed dozens car lifting robberies in Rawalpindi and Islamabad. SP (Rawal) also said that during investigations, there are sensational outcomes expected from the detainee culprits. Police will also conduct crackdown on other facilitators of this gang, said SP Rai Mazhar Iqbal.
CPO (Rawalpindi) DIG Muhammad Ahsan Younis also lauded Sadiqabad Police for arresting this notorious gang.
Meanwhile, Morgah Police arrested a criminal and also recovered Klashinkov and rounds from his custody. The detainee culprit Zahid was criminal record holder with drugs case with Civil Lines Police station.
