‘Follow govt directions against coronavirus’
Islamabad : The Pakistan Interfaith League (PIL) has called upon the Christian community all over country to offer special prayers for forgiveness and for safety against the raging ‘coronovirus’ pandemic.
At the same time, the PIL Chairman, Sajid Ishaq, urged the Christian community to strictly follow the directions being issued by the government to keep safe from COVID-19, maintaining social distancing and sanitizing measures.
He lauded the efforts made by the Christian clergy for avoiding congregations in Churches on the ‘Good Friday’ in pursuance of guidelines issued by the government to avoid any large scale congregations.
“It was a laudable step taken by the Christian leaders all over Pakistan not to hold ‘Good Friday’ congregations in Churches and I must congratulate them over the initiative,” Sajid Ishaq said.
