Saad, Salman meet Pervaiz Elahi
LAHORE: PML-N senior leaders MNA Khwaja Saad Rafique and MPA Khwaja Salman Rafique called on Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Parvaiz Elahi at his residence on Saturday and felicitated him on his efforts for bringing all parties together for evolving a unanimous strategy to avert the spread of coronavirus.
They discussed the matters of mutual interest and the prevailing situation after the outbreak of coronavirus epidemic in the country.
The PML-N leaders also inquired after the health of former prime minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and also expressed good wishes for him.
Talking to Khwaja brothers, Pervaiz Elahi stressed the need for all political parties to brush aside the politics and converge on one platform to tackle the coronavirus pandemic like a unified nation, adding that national interests and humanity demanded today that all political forces should demonstrate complete solidarity.
Khwaja Saad Rafique recalled that the elders and ancestors of both families had cordial relations for many decades in the past, both as politicians and as friends. He expressed his desire to carry on with this old relationship in the future as well.
Punjab Assembly Secretary Muhammad Khan Bhatti was also present.
