President visits corona crisis management centre

President Dr Arif Alvi visited the Corona Crisis Management Centre set up by the Punjab government at Civil Secretariat here on Wednesday.

Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar and Governor Ch Muhammad Sarwar accompanied the President. President Arif Alvi inspected various sections and appreciated the performance, adding that it is a good step of the Punjab government for timely collection of the necessary information.

The President was briefed by ACS (Home) that this centre is working round the clock under the Home Department and every matter about coronavirus is being monitored. The information collected by the centre is immediately delivered to the concerned departments besides monitoring the situation in all the districts of the province, he was told. The President directed for advertising all the departmental helplines and stressed for close inter-departmental coordination. He directed for maintaining updated data of coronavirus pandemic and appreciated the performance of Punjab government concerning Corona Crisis Management Centre. Chief Minister Usman Buzdar apprised the President about the steps taken by the government to overcome coronavirus pandemic in the province.
