Cop among three arrested for illegal tree cutting

HANGU: Three persons, including an assistant sub-inspector, were arrested for illegal tree cutting in the district, official sources said on Sunday.
The sources said that locals of the area registered a complaint with the deputy inspector general of police, Ishtiaq Marwat, against the in-charge of the Saddar Police Station, Anar Gul, and two other persons for their involvement in illegal tree cutting. The DIG directed registration of first information report at the Saddar Police Station against the accused.
The accused filed an application at a local court for securing bail before arrest. However, the court rejected their bail application and the accused Anar Gul and two other persons Sabir Shaukat and Hameed were arrested.
