Corona patient buried in Okara
OKARA: Akbar, a coronavirus patient who had died at Mayo Hospital Lahore on Sunday night, was buried at his ancestral graveyard at 25/GD village on Monday.
The dead body of Akbar, 45, was brought to his village from Lahore in the supervision of government personnel. Later, his funeral was attended by six persons of his family. Earlier, police personnel and the army had closed the road leading towards the graveyard and no one was allowed to gather near coffin.
Municipal Corporation Chief Officer Fida Iftikhar Mir supervised the last ritual and burial of the deceased. Akbar’s house and his surrounding houses are under the supervision of police rather isolated and the virus-related tests of 14 family members had already been sent to a laboratory.
