LONDON: Champions League football will be back on television soon — as UEFA joins the retro approach to giving fans their fix.
The European governing body is going to open up its archive of classic matches for free and make them available on the same schedule as if Covid-19 had not halted football.
So Champions League games will be shown on UEFA.tv on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with Europa League clashes on Thursdays.
UEFA will also make available the best action from the European Championship, the Women’s Euro and the Women’s Champions League.
There will also be Q&A sessions with legendary players and other content to fill the hours as supporters around the world find themselves at home under lockdown conditions.
