The government of Sindh’s decision to enter into a complete lockdown is the right decision in the prevailing circumstances. Throughout this crisis, CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah has shown remarkable leadership and has been one step ahead of the rest. The Sindh task force under the CM has led the response in the fight against the coronavirus, which is now being followed by other provinces. It is paramount that we all take this threat seriously and stay indoors, which will not only keep us safe but also those who are at the front line in this fight – doctors, paramedical staff along with members of essential services and security forces deputed to keep us all safe. The federal government is requested to ensure a countrywide lockdown before it’s too late. However, the federal and provincial governments must ensure supply of essential commodities to daily wagers who are the most affected by this lockdown.
