Pak Post takes safety steps
Rawalpindi : Pakistan Post has started work on a nationwide emergency to protect its thousands of employees from the coronavirus, says a press release.
The Director General of Pakistan Post, Rana Mohammad Akhlaq has issued instructions to all Circle Heads through a circular to ensure the safety of all employees, especially international mail staff, DMO staff, and all the other operational officials poste in field post offices. A top priority is given to consult local health authorities immediately and ensure all safety measures have to be implemented.
In light of these instructions, Postmaster General Abdur Razzaq has issued a guideline for all relevant officers staff and customers in the light of the necessary consultations and reviews. According to which the queue system has been abolished at the level of the GPOs. A large number of pensioners are expected to visit at first dates of next, month as usual and such all the pensioners will be encouraged not to sit close to one another beside avoiding to gather at counters and shake hands with staff.
