RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Terrorist Court (ATC), Rawalpindi, Judge Rai Muhammad Ayub Marth on Monday accepted the plea filed by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Naheed Khan and ordered to provide her full record of Benazir Bhutto murder case proceedings.
Naheed Khan had filed a petition in the ATC seeking the record of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto’s murder case. The court accepted the plea and ordered to provide her the record.
The court also summoned plaintiff Khasif Riaz and the first investigation officer of the case. It also abandoned the testimony of Professor Azam Yousif, the witness of the prosecution. Meanwhile, in its report, the Ministry of Interior informed the court that Mark Siegel, an American journalist and key witness in Benazir Bhutto murder case will be available to record his statement through video link on October 01. The next hearing of the case will be held on September 21.
Speaking to media after the hearing of the case, Naheed Khan said she will decide to become party in the case after reviewing the record and consultations with her lawyers.
