A delegation of Bangladesh College of Physicians & Surgeons (BCPS) led by Prof. Sanawar Hussain, President, visited College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan, Regional Centre, Lahore.
According to a press release issued here on Wednesday, the delegation comprised Prof. Mahmood Hassan, Prof MD Abdul Jalil Choudhry, Secretary, BCPS, Prof TIM Abdullah Al-Faruq, Prof MD Azizul Kahaar, Prof MD Margub Hussain, Prof Abdul Kader Khan, Prof MD Nazrul Islam and Mrs Farzana Nasrin.
On this occasion, a meeting was held to discuss the matters of mutual interest with the office-bearers of CPSP. The matters regarding standardisation of medical education & training, transparent examination system, and training courses came under discussion. Prof Sanawar Hussain, President, BCPS thanked Prof Zafarullah Chaudhry, President and council members for extending support to standardise medical education system in Bangladesh. Prof Mehmood Hassan briefed about the advancements in healthcare system in Bangladesh. He said that although Bangladesh could not achieve the set targets but trying continuously and BCPS would get benefited through the international capabilities of CPSP. He also said that we would solve the health issues of this region by mutual cooperation and understanding. Prof Zafarullah Chaudhry, President, CPSP, in his welcome address assured the provision of patronage as an elder brother and continuation of support. Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal, Senior Vice-President, highlighted the national and international services rendered by CPSP and briefed the guests about the performance of CPSP Regional Centre, Lahore.
