Pakistani's donate a lot to charities but remain loathe to pay taxes. To overcome this negative mindset of the public against paying taxes, the government should utilize the media and the mosques to change the public's acrimony towards taxes.
The importance of paying taxes, how it benefits society and how it can help Pakistan overcome its dependence on foreign loans should be highlighted through posters, Friday sermons, TV ads and radio messages.
