Five suffocate due to gas leak in Abbottabad
ABBOTTABAD: Five friends including two brothers died of suffocation due to gas leakage at Ehtesham Colony in Nawanshehr area here on Thursday.
The five friends had planned to go on a tour and had gathered at Nawanshehr in the suburbs of Abbottabad. One more friend came to the venue to inquire about them on Thursday afternoon, but the family members had to break the door open after the five did not respond to their calls.
Later, the family shifted all the five in unconscious condition to the Jinnah Hospital where doctors confirmed their deaths. The bodies were shifted to DHQ Hospital for autopsy afterwards.
The deceased were identified as Umar Khan, Adeel Khan, Ahmed Jadoon, Abdul Wahab and Osama, aged 25 to 30 years. Later, the bodies were shifted to their homes at Nawanshehr and Dhamthor village for burial.
