PM Imran can’t carry out uplift works in city without meeting CM, says Mustafa Kamal

Pak Sarzameen Party on Tuesday said the meeting between Prime Minister Imran Khan and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah was a good omen.

He said the premier could not carry out any development project in Karachi without meeting with the chief minister. “We hope that the meeting between the PM and the Sindh CM would prove fruitful for the resolution of the issues being faced by the people of Sindh, especially Karachiites,” said the PSP chief, while addressing a meeting with the party’s central executive committee, the national council and other committees at the Pakistan House, the party’s secretariat

Because of the non-cooperation between the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and the Pakistan Peoples Party, he said, all projects of the federal government had been delayed in the province. “We hope that some seriousness will be shown in resolving issues being faced by the province as well as its capital Karachi,” he said.

The PSP chief said Sindh had been lagging behind other provinces in all sectors, especially health, education and infrastructure “because of a narrow-minded ethnic politics, bad governance and corruption”.

He said the ruling elite were oppressing the people of Sindh “who were still suffering from dog bites and AIDS”. Kamal said corruption was rampant from Kashmor to Karachi and “everyone is looking towards the PSP” to improve the situation.
