Jamaat-I-Islami holds protests in capital against price hike
Islamabad: Like other parts of the country, the protest demonstrations were held in twin cities by Jamaat-I-Islami (JI) against price hike on Friday. The JI central ameer Senator Sirajul Haq has given call for protest demonstrations after ‘Jumaa’ prayers.
JI naib ameer Mian Muhammad Aslam and Islamabad ameer Nasarullah Randhawa led a demonstration in front of National Press Club. Addressing protestors, the JI leaders strongly condemned the PTI government for flour and sugar crisis and price hike of essential commodities and increase in tariffs of gas and electricity.
The Rawalpindi ameer Syd Arif Shirazi, Raja Jawad and others led protest demonstrations outside mosques in Rawalpindi after Jumaa prayers. The National Labour Federation (NLF) also held protest demonstrations at different places.
