Amjad Islam Amjad talks about life experiences

LAHORE:The fifth session of "Kuch Yaadain Kuch Batain" was held at the Alhamra Arts Centre, The Mall.

Noted writer and poet Amjad Islam Amjad was the guest speaker of the session. He shared his life experiences about his poetic and artistic journey with the audience. He told the audience of his observations of poetry and writing which were enjoyed by the audience.

Amjad said, "My teachers played a key role in guiding me to where I am today." He said to the younger generation, "Do your job honestly because this is the most important thing in your life to get true success.” Amjad thanked and appreciated the initiative taken by Lahore Art Council Board of Governors Chairperson Moneeza Hashmi who was also present at the event.

Moneeza Hashmi thanked Amjad Islam Amjad for being there and said that Amjad Islam was a big reference of poetry and literature in the world of literature. She said that due to his outstanding services, the current era of poetry would be named Amjad Islam Amjad. She stated, “It was a proud moment for all of us when Amjad Islam Amjad received the prestigious Najib Fazil International Culture and Art Award at a ceremony in Istanbul. The beauty that Amjad Islam Amjad has given to our social and cultural journey is the bright path for our younger generation.”

Alhamra Executive Director Athar Ali Khan said that Lahore Art Council’s initiative “Kuch Yaadain Kuch Batain” provided the audience with an opportunity to listen to their favourite personalities. He said that Amjad’s work was unique due to his great writing style. The readers enjoy the taste of his poetry and writing, he added.
