FBR troubles
The Pakistani government is again facing difficulties concerning tax collection by the FBR. The government should understand that the FBR has never really collected taxes in a systematic manner. The government should give the organization more modest targets in order to incrementally improve its performance.
Although the general trend within the FBR is to start squeezing current taxpayers out of more money, I think this should be avoided. In fact the government should make efforts to reduce or end taxes on salaries because of their detrimental impact on economic growth. In addition, any FBR official resisting implementation of taxes or caught in illegal acts should be fired immediately. The success of our nation rests on an improved and effective revenue collection mechanism.
