Social decay

This refers to the news report, ‘Class X student shoots girl before killing himself’ (September 2). Our social structure has been affected by corruption as well as by poverty to such an extent that family life has deteriorated to this low.
Our political leaders and religious scholars are busy and have no time for the welfare of common people. First, a national institute of should start a comprehensive research to discover the causes and effects of such incidents in our society and then a national think tank should come up with solutions.
