JUI-F calls protest against spiralling prices
PESHAWAR: The provincial chapter of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) has given a call for protest in all the district headquarters of the province on Friday against the unbearable hike in the prices of daily use items.
Spokesman for the party, Abdul Jalil Jan, said the provincial president Senator Maulana Attaur Rahman had directed the district level organisations of the party to hold a protest against price-hike and failed policies of the government in their respective districts. Maulana Attaur Rahman expressed serious reservations over the policies of the government. He said the group of the "selected" people were unable to rule the country.
The only solution, according to him, for the prevailing problems in the country was to oust the incompetent people from the corridors of power and hold fresh elections in the country. The JUI-F would continue its struggle against the government, he added.
