Cold, dry weather expected

LAHORE: Met officials said continental air was prevailing over most upper parts of the country. They predicted that mainly cold and dry weather was expected in most parts of the country, while very cold in northern parts and north Balochistan. However, rain/thunderstorm (with snowfall over hills) is expected at isolated places in districts of northeast Punjab and Kashmir in the morning. Fog is likely to prevail at a few places of plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh during morning/night hours. On Friday, rainfall was recorded at Murree only. Lowest temperature was recorded at Astore where the mercury dropped to -15°C while in Lahore it was 3.3°C and highest was 16.5°C.
