NAB arrests real estate developer

MULTAN: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Multan region arrested a real estate developer after cancellation of his pre-arrest bail on Wednesday. According to NAB officials, ex-director of Khan Real Estate Developer Tayyab Khakwani was granted pre-arrest bail but the Lahore High Court (LHC) Multan bench cancelled his pre-arrest bail. The accused had deprived people of their cash on the pretext of selling them residential plots.

LLB PAPER LEAKED: The seventh question paper of LLB examination got leaked one and a half hour before the commencement of the examination here on Wednesday. The Bahauddin Zakariya University authorities have ordered an inquiry into the matter. The paper of Law of Equity and Specific Relief leaked and the issue created panic among students attempting the exam. The BZU officials said an enquiry into the matter has been ordered. According to BZU Registrar Suhaib Rashid, he had received an email from a man identified as Muhammad Farooq one hour and thirty-five minutes before\

the commencement of the paper. He said the leaked paper would be cancelled. BZU ViceChancellor Prof Dr Mansoor Kundi also ordered an inquiry into the issue.

COLD, DRY WEATHER FORECAST: The local Met Office has forecast cold and dry weather with chances of fog in the morning for city and its suburbs during the next 24 hours. On Wednesday, maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded as 15.5 degrees centigrade and 4.4 degrees centigrade respectively. Humidity was recorded 100 per cent at 8am and 58 per cent at 5pm.

EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTES FINED: The Waste Management Company (WMC) launched an action against educational institutions for throwing heaps and garbage on roads. The official spokesman said at least three educational institutes on Bosan Road and Officer Colony were fined. The Government Degree College for Women and Government Emerson College at Chungi No 6 were served notices over the issue.
