Cop booked for stabbing DIG

LAHORE:Police on Sunday registered a case against a cop on charges of wounding DIG Shahzad Aslam Siddiqui with a knife at Qila Gujjar Singh Police Lines.
The DIG, Shahzad Aslam, was on his way back to his flat from the mosque at the police lines when cop Rafique approached him and attacked him with a knife. As a result, he sustained wounds. He was admitted to a local hospital where his condition was stated to be stable. The accused cop was arrested and a case against him registered under Section 324 PPC. DIG Shahzad is posted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
