All public and private educational institutes across Sindh will reopen on Wednesday (today) after the winter holidays of students came to an end on Tuesday.
The provincial government had earlier announced that all the public and private educational institutes across Sindh would observe winter holidays from December 20 to January 1.
All the public and private schools, colleges and universities across the province had made the announcement for the winter holidays in accordance with the decision of the relevant steering committee.
According to the timetable, winter holidays were observed at all public and private educational institutions across the province during the period decided by the government.
Talking to The News on Wednesday, School Education & Literacy Secretary Ahsan Ali Mangi said the education department has decided that the winter holidays will not be extended.
He added that all schools and colleges will reopen on January 1. He also refuted the rumours circulating on social media regarding extension of the winter holidays of educational institutions.
Every year the steering committee decides the schedule for the new academic year, a timetable for the annual examinations, public holidays and other issues related to education.
