KP official suspended for statement on court verdict against Pervez Musharraf
PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government on Friday suspended a civil servant from service and ordered a probe against him for allegedly making a statement on the special court verdict against former military ruler, retired General Pervez Musharraf. A circular from the Establishment Department placed under suspension Khyber tribal district’s Additional Deputy Commissioner Fahad Ikram Qazi.
The official under question is in grade 18. He is also the provincial coordinator for the PMS (Provincial Management Service) and Provincial Civil Service Officers Association. Clarification was issued on different WhatsApp groups recently wherein a statement about the special court verdict against Musharraf attributed to the PCS Officers Association was termed fake.
The clarification had insisted that that PCS Officers Association had nothing to do with the statement on the court verdict. Still the Establishment Department suspended Fahad Ikram Qazi and ordered a probe against him. Attempts were made several times to contact the suspended public servant on his cell phone, but it vain.
