Ex-int’l boxer Qambrani dies of lung cancer
LAHORE: Pakistan’s former International boxer Abdul Majeed Qambrani died in Karachi losing his protracted fight against lung cancer. Qambrani was gold medalist in the 1989 edition of SAF Games and was also the national champion. Legendary boxer Mohammad Ali worn him the SAF Games gold medal. The funeral prayer of Majeed Qambrani was offered in Rehmania Masjid Lyari and was burried at Mora Graveyard. Olympian Mehrullah, Olympian Rasheed Qambrani, International boxer Abid Ali, Abu Talib, PBF Vice President Asghar Baloch and other sports belonging personalities were present at his funeral. Pakistan Boxing Federation President Khalid Mahmood, Secretary General Col Nasir Aijaz Tung and other officials of federation have condoled Qambrani’s death.
