Man from Kohistan shot dead

MANSEHRA: Armed persons shot dead a man belonging to Kohistan here, the police officials said on Tuesday.

Nobel Khan and his accomplice opened fire on Fazl Rabi at the hotel and managed to flee, they added. The injured was rushed to King Abdullah Teaching Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead. According to police, the victim had allegedly sexually assaulted a girl in Kohistan and was on the run.

The city police after lodging first information report started raids to arrest the suspects who managed to flee while firing gunshots into the air.

Meanwhile, the robbers broke into two houses in Baffa area and decamped with gold, valuables and cash on the same night.

The robbers barged into the house of one Zulqarnain when they had gone to meet their relatives and decamped with Rs50,000 and 6 grams of gold ornaments. They also broke into another house and decamped with cash and other valuables.

According to locals, the robbers fled away with gold, cash and other valuables worth over Rs50,0000 in both robberies.
