A delegation from Austria visited the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) on Monday and called on Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha.
The Austrian delegation was comprised Prof Dr Michael Hess from the University of Veterinary Medicine, Vienna, Dr Nadim Mukhles Amarin, Regional Technical Manager, Poultry (MENA) Middle East and N Africa Regional Office Boehringer Ingelheim Amman, Jordan, and Dr Mahmoud Tayeh, National Sales Manager Poultry & Equine Business Unit GCC & Pakistan & Levant Countries Boehringer Ingelheim Amman, Jordan.
They delegation discussed the areas of collaboration and enhancing cooperation in the areas of mutual interest including vaccine development, fisheries and poultry science. The VC briefed the delegation on the UVAS academic, research and training programmes.
Meanwhile, a three-day training workshop “Indigenous On-Campus Training (IOT)” began for 3rd group of administrative officers in the 2nd phase at the UVAS.
Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha chaired the inaugural session of the workshop organised by the Faculty of Life Sciences Business Management in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Islamabad.
