Lahore Art Council would launch a series from the new year to which young talented stars would be invited to share their life experiences and achievements with the public.
This was stated by Lahore Art Council (LAC) Board of Governors Chairperson Moneeza Hashmi while chairing a meeting held at Alhamra Art Centre on Friday. A number of matters related to Lahore Art Council were discussed in the meeting.
The new initiative of signing memoranda of understanding with different prestigious educational institutions for the promotion of arts and cultural was appreciated by the participants.
Moneeza Hashmi said that Alhamra held a unique place in strengthening the social and cultural development. She said that Kuch Yaadain Kuch Batain ” had now become the most popular series of Alhamra which continued to satisfy the taste of art lovers.
LAC Executive Director Athar Ali Khan said, “Here at Alhamra, the young artistes are being provided with opportunities in all fields of art, including drama, literature, theatre, painting and music.
He said steps were being taken for the maximum participation of the people in Alhamra’s programmes. “Providing high quality entertainment to the people is our top priority,” he added.
