Abasin Column Writers Association office-bearers elected

The general body of the Abasin Column Writers Association has elected office-bearers for the year 2020-21 unanimously.

Ziaul Haq Sarhadi was re-elected president of the association. Other elected office-bearers included Almagir Afridi (senior vice-president), Muhammad Saleem Afaqi (general secretary), Abid Akhtar Hassan (joint secretary), Roshan Khattak (vice-president-I), Malik Khan Said Mohmand (vice-president-II), Fahmida Butt (women wing vice-president), Hafiz Arshad Dar (information secretary), Waseem Shahid (finance secretary) and Fazal Shah Mohmand (legal adviser).

A managing committee was constituted as well. Musarratullah Jan, Munawwar Shah Munawwar, Waqar Ahmad Awan, Zubaida Firdos Zoobi, Siraj Arif, Saima Mehboob, Sabeeh Ahmad, Rani Bano and Qamar Habib were chosen the members of the committee.

Ziaul Haq Sarhadi thanked the general body for reposing confidence in him by re-electing him the president of the association for the second consecutive time.

The participants offered fateha for the departed souls of the Urdu Daily Aaj founder, Abdul Wahid Yusufi and Dr Salahuddin, a columnist, writer, cultural activist and social worker.
